What you’ll need to make decorated snack toasts:

Our snack toast ideas aren’t recipes in the usual sense—think of them as a collection of ingredients and ideas to use as a springboard into snackable crafting! Mix and match. Swap and substitute. These three basic ingredient groups are all you need to get started:

Bread Base: We used Oat so Lovely and Little Big Bread in our decorative snack toast recipe photos, but any Silver Hills Sprouted Bakery loaf your family loves will do.

Spread: Creating your decorated toast starts with choosing your favourite spread to give your toppings something to stick to. In our examples we alternated between a few options—plant-based cream cheese, hummus, and nut butters are all fine options, but feel free to use whichever spread you prefer.

Toppings: This is where you get to let your creativity shine! Use your favourite veggies, nuts, fruits, berries, and any other plant-based topping you’d like. Decorate your toast to your taste, marvel at your masterpiece, and dig in!
