Recipe Sprouted Red Lentil Spread

This simple and delicious spread uses sprouted lentils for added nutrients.
Ingredients
- 1 cup red lentils
- 2+ cups water
- ½ cup tahini
- 1 clove garlic , crushed
- 1 tsp cumin
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp coriander
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground pepper
- 1 pinch red pepper flakes (add as little or much as you like)
- 3 tsp apple cider vinegar
- ¼ cup olive oil* (*You can use water instead of the oil. Make sure you check the seasoning once it is blended)
Instructions
Add lentils to a bowl and cover them with water (about 2 cups). Leave the lentils to soak for about 10 hours.
Drain the lentils and add them to a blender. Add the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. You may need to add a little water while blending to help achieve a smooth consistency.
