Recipe Fresh and Oil-Free Edamame Spread

A good spread goes beyond just a toast topper (although we love this one on our Sprouted Power™ Mack’s Flax bread). Swap this fresh and smooth version in for your regular hummus to make veggie sticks, sandwiches, and crackers come alive. We also made it oil-free, making it an extra-healthy after-school snack or movie night option for the family.
- 2 cups shelled edamame beans , thawed and drained
- 2 cloves garlic , crushed
- 3 – 4 Tbsp lemon juice
- ¼ cup tahini
- 2 Tbsp fresh parsley
- to taste salt and pepper
- Place all ingredients in the jar of a food processor or blender and blend until almost smooth, leaving a slightly chunky texture.
- Enjoy on our Sprouted Power™ Mack’s Flax bread, or like hummus as a dip for your favourite veggies and crackers!
