Recipe Fresh and Oil-Free Edamame Spread

A good spread goes beyond just a toast topper (although we love this one on our Sprouted Power Omegamazing™ bread). Swap this fresh and smooth version in for your regular hummus to make veggie sticks, sandwiches, and crackers come alive. We also made it oil-free, making it an extra-healthy after-school snack or movie night option for the family.

  • 2 cups shelled edamame beans , thawed and drained
  • 2 cloves garlic , crushed
  • 3 – 4 Tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup tahini
  • 2 Tbsp fresh parsley
  • to taste salt and pepper


  1. Place all ingredients in the jar of a food processor or blender and blend until almost smooth, leaving a slightly chunky texture.
  2. Enjoy on our Sprouted Power™ Omegamazing bread (or your favourite Silver Hills Bakery sprouted bread), or like hummus as a dip for your favourite veggies and crackers!
