Recipe Chai-Spiced Almond Butter

Thick and creamy Chai-Spiced homemade almond butter is just as easy and tastes dreamily divine. This recipe’s warm, perfectly spiced, rich notes come with a healthy dose of plant-based protein and natural anti-inflammatory goodness. Spread on slices of our delicious sprouted breads…heaven.
Ingredients
- 3 cups almonds
- 2 – 3 Tbsp coconut oil melted
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 2 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¾ tsp ground cardamom
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- ¼ tsp ground all spice
- ¼ tsp ground cloves
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- ¼ tsp sea salt
- ¼ tsp ground pepper
- 2 Tbsp sugar
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Place almonds on a baking sheet and bake until toasted and fragrant, 7 to 10 minutes. Let cool completely before transferring to the bowl of a food processor.
- Process until nuts turn to coarse meal then add spices and sugar. Continue blending until a paste forms then add oil and extract. Process until smooth. Transfer to a glass jar and refrigerate up to several months.
